Building Wings on the Way Down
While I have a passion for helping others say what they need to say (thanks for that phrasing, John Mayer), I'm also incredibly passionate about my own voice. This page is dedicated to my successes in creative writing and my involvement in the local literary community.
Some Accomplishments
- Winner of the Judge's Prize for the 2013 Creative Loafing Tampa Fiction Contest.
- Awarded the Wesley Ryals Award in Fiction in 2013 and 2014 from Florida Southern College's Cantilevers Journal of the Arts
- Named first-ever champion of the Tampa Bay Lucha Libro Literary Death Match.
- Winner of the March Micro Fiction Contest at Driftwood Press.
- Co-host of Open Mic at Cafe Hey, which has won Creative Loafing's Best of the Bay Open Mic title for three years running.
